Infrastructure for a brand-new right.

A billion people in India recently acquired enforceable rights over their own data, and most of the plumbing to exercise them does not exist yet. Building that plumbing is the work — unusually consequential and unusually detailed, in about equal measure.

OPEN ROLES

1 role open right now

  • Sales Consultant, Partner Programme

    Go-to-marketIndiaConsultantOutcome-based

Find, sign and activate the firms that will take Sammati to their clients.

Most Indian companies that now carry a consent obligation will never go looking for a platform. They will ask the CA firm, the privacy counsel, or the consultancy they already call. Reaching them means reaching those firms first, and this is the role that does it. You would be the first person dedicated to the channel, which means building the motion rather than inheriting one — and having a real say in what it becomes.

This is a consultant engagement rather than a salaried position, and the commercials are tied to outcomes. We agree what those outcomes are, and what they are worth, in writing before you start — no ambiguity about it later.

    What you'd be doing

    • Build a pipeline of partner firms — CA and CS practices, privacy and boutique law practices, compliance and risk consultancies, systems integrators, and SaaS platforms whose customers are Data Fiduciaries
    • Run the first conversation through to a signed agreement, working out which shape of partnership actually fits the way that firm already works
    • Get signed partners producing: enablement sessions, demo support, and co-selling alongside them on the first few deals until they can carry one on their own
    • Keep the partner register honest — who is active, what is registered, what has gone quiet — so the pipeline reflects reality rather than optimism
    • Bring back what the channel needs. Collateral, product gaps, objections you keep hearing: this role is our clearest signal from the market, and we would rather act on it than admire it

    What probably fits

    • You have sold consultatively in India — professional services, compliance, or B2B software — and are comfortable when the first meeting is about a problem rather than a product
    • You can hold a credible conversation about a regulation with people who advise on it for a living, and you know where the line sits between explaining a law and advising on it
    • You are at ease starting from a blank page: no inherited list, no established playbook, and a number you would own
    • Existing relationships in the CA, CS or consulting ecosystem are a real advantage, as is any background in privacy, security or governance — neither is a requirement
    • You are comfortable with outcome-linked commercials, and would rather be paid for what lands than for time booked
    • Deep technical depth is not expected. We will teach you the product properly
The work

What you'd be spending time on

A problem that is genuinely new

India has had a privacy law for a short time and very little of the infrastructure to exercise it. Much of what we build has no obvious precedent to copy, which is the interesting part and occasionally the frustrating one.

Breadth over specialism

Work here tends to run from the data model to the thing a person reads on a screen, and touches the law somewhere in the middle. People who enjoy following a problem across those boundaries do well.

Detail that matters

Consent records are legal records. A good deal of the craft is in getting careful about things that look small, and in being willing to argue about them before they ship rather than after.

Roles vary — engineering, design, delivery, and the legal and content side of the product. Where and how a role works is something we sort out per person rather than by policy.
